Richard Feynman first used of the concepts found in ‘nano-technology’ (pre-dating use of that name) in “There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom“, a talk given by at an American Physical Society meeting at Caltech on December 29, 1959.
Rapidly developing in various technological and application fields, Nanotechnology is still at an early phase of development, full of opportunities and with most of its potential still unexplored.
Commonly considered to offer considerable opportunities throughout various industries, nanotechnology would have broader socio-economic benefits, especially in the context of pressing global challenges such as those related to energy, health care, clean water and climate change.
